About Gillo  Pedigree Pietrain pigs!

Helen Jackman and family

Gillo Fawr is a Small Farm in West Wales near the market town of Newcastle Emlyn.

We breed, show and sell Pedigree  Pietrain Pigs .  We are a family business we also raise a number of  suckler beef cattle, sheep and a small livery yard.

Helen Jackman a former livestock lecturer is your British Pietrain breed representative and

British Pig Association Pedigree Pig Judge .

We have had great success in the show ring for our Pigs, horses and sheep.  We have also won many gold and silver awards for our meat products, proudly representing Wales at the Smithfield show.

Our pigs are bred specifically for their good conformation , temperament and they are selected to be inline with the required Pedigree Pietrain British Standard.

The B P A breed standard pig  is ‘Gillo Fernand 20’  know as Freddie to which all pedigree Pietrain are judge by.

We are very proud of our animals and are sure you will be too.

Gillo Pedigree Pietrain Pigs include four separate herds.  These are specially selected breeders and close associates who breed to our standards with our bloodlines, these include the Gillo Fawr Herd, The Cwm Gillo Herd, The Deri Gillo Herd and The Hoddam Gillo Herd.
